Dr. Thomas and a handful of other surgeons were selected in the United States to become certified in the Prostep MIS bunion procedures. Dr. Thomas has spent greater than 10 years working in cadaver labs and trained in Europe on MIS bunion procedures and was honored to be invited to use this engineered system  with a track record of over 50,000 cases performed outside the United States.

Dr. Thomas received the Center of Recognition Award for his MiniBunionTM patient surgeries and outcomes. This is the latest technique in minimal invasive surgery using plate and screw technology through a small keyhole incision. The MiniBunionTM surgery is the first and only minimal invasive 3D procedure to be developed for bunions. Only a handful of surgeons have been given this Award in the United States and Dr. Thomas is proud that patients in Columbus now have this as a treatment option.
